You know nothing about the economy or the job market. PPP by and large was for the medium to small businesses like mine and so many others. You’ve never owned a business a day in your life. Guess who pays taxes? We do. I also employ 4 people full time with salary in benefits.

Was there fraud involved in that program, sure like every other program. Exactly. The way people are portraying this update is misleading. They are just saying only 6% of deaths had ONLY Covid as the cause of death on the certificate. Then they go on to list the other causes that were listed on the remaining certificates, which includes hypertension/diabetes/etc, but also includes influenza and pneumonia- which are obviously not comorbidities.

This is “true” but misleading.

Most death certificates have multiple codes.
You can have up to 20 codes.
Comorbidity is more common than not.
Covid is more likely to be involved with deaths in people that have existing issues.
Some codes define common combinations

My sister is an anesthesiologist in the OR. Two days ago an overweight male came in for heart surgery. He ended up dying. He had heart issues, high blood pressure and tested positive for Covid. His death certificate will list all three or a combination code. This is important for science as it’s used to relate conditions and help with the creation of drugs.

There are over 60,000 codes.

Posted on poli board but US is up over 200,000 deaths from last three years (all causes). Early on they didn’t have the testing or process to deal with Covid coding.

I am over this shite too but it isn’t a conspiracy.

I guess no one understands what a comorbidity is. It is just a history of another medical problem, it’s not another cause of death.

I’m all for exposing the ridiculousness of our response but don’t make yourself look like an idiot trying to do it.

For example, someone with a history (comorbidity) of high blood pressure dies FROM covid. They died from severe viral pneumonia that had nothing to do with high blood pressure. They wouldn’t be included in the 6% you are highlighting. But they clearly died FROM covid.
