Ochsner Health secures 5-minute coronavirus test that could go to ERs, labor units

So seems these tests are now being actually used, seems like a big deal to me. Real Life progress happening now, knowing immediate results should help everyone involved.

The tests by Abbott Laboratories were cleared by the Food and Drug Administration last week and were shipped to hospitals beginning Wednesday. Ochsner has received some of the tests kits as of Thursday. The 5-minute test joins another 45-minute test in Ochsner's stockpile and the same-day tests it has had for weeks.

I've heard both are kinda low so if positive you probably have it but negative could still have it. This is the one from Abbot

Pretty irrelevant, but I thought Fauci said they were 15 minute tests.

I believe if positive it shows up in 5 minutes, if negative it can take up to 15 minutes to get a reading.

vast difference from 4-8 days.
