sure about that? screech owls are tiny lil fellas. my parents have boxes in trees on their place in Tennessee that they nest in

You are right. I always thought it was a screech owl because of its name. Seems like they have the names mixed up

We have a family of three barred owls that live in a tree next to our camp. We can throw a fish in the air and it won't touch the ground.
