Answer.

BR had him at Louie's, Holiday Inn and Poor Boy Lloyds. Frankly I'm surprised he didn't say, "Go F yourself, Baton Rouge" as his closing words.
I disagree. He was shown the shity North BR part of the city. McKinley, Poor Boy Lloyds etc etc and that made him think he was in Nola. It is fitting really

Can't wait to drop a "Thank you, New Orleans!" in the next NOLA v BR thread.

I mean, do you really expect people not from LA to know about Lafayette?
Does that mean they don't know UL-Lafayette either? I'll answer for you: YEP

Yeah it happens.

When you're a rock star who's fricked up out of his mind. Not when you're POTUS.

Comedians do it. Salespeople do it. Rockstars do it.

Anyone who travels alot and performs the same routine to different audiences around the world will occasionally have a slip like that.

Doesn't bother me. Now if he said Denham Springs, I would be offended. But Nola is a top travel/convention destination in the world.

Who said it was better? I simply said North BR has a Nola feel. South Br has a Birmingham suburb feel. Different strokes for different folks

If he spent his day along I-110, I could see how he confused the 2.

I love these chain restaurants in S/SEBR.
Your Mother's, Roux 61, Sammy's, Poboy Express, Jones Creek Cafe, City Cafe'.

I do wonder how/who picked his eating spots? Both are mainstays in the City for sure but not the best for regional flavor.

It was a pretty standard Nola sucks joke. You know, a shitty neighborhood that is run down with crime etc etc made him think he was in Nola

Then the Nola crowd will say BR is so boring he couldnt even remember it

It is the standard BR vs Nola phenomenon. The Obama quote can be used as ammo for either side

Seriously, it's the most well known city in the South, the signs are all along I-10, and it's an hour away.

I don't see the big deal with this slip-up. He probably wanted to go see some titties and have a Hurricane in the FQ.
