He should play this off like a champ. Have the Office of Management and Budget approve BR and NOLA's request to become one metropolitan statistical area (MSA). This was his fun way of announcing that BR is what we all already know -- a suburb of Nola/Lafayette. (When relatives/friends come in town, where do you take them?)

I don't blame him. I'm sure the demographics made him feel like he was in New Orleans. It can happen. Hell I think BR is a mini Atlanta most of the time.
