Obama administration issues transgender bathroom mandate to all public schools

How do you OT baws with daughters feel about this? Public schools are a shite show already. This isn't going to help.

I don't get all caught up in the "slippery slope" argument on most of these things, but this is going to be a fricking nightmare for school administrators. 16 year old boys are probably fapping ferociously though, and they'll soon be able to do it in the girl's bathroom.

Well, this is a textbook example. You give an inch to one minority group, and an even bigger minority group will come along and want something even more extreme.

reuters left off the part that the parents have to assert the change
meaning a kid just can't tell his teachers one day that he is a girl and then he gets to go in the girls restroom, his parents have to tell the teachers, which I guess some kid could pull a long con and fool his parents too, but that seems very slim

Read the article, all a male student has to say is "I feel like a girl" and they are to be allowed to use the girls RR no questions asked
