I work for an insurance company and I'm the guy that makes those offers to injured claimants. We handle the claim based on the "merits" of the claim. How serious was your injury? Did you miss work? Were you impaired or disfigured? Any permanent injury or scarring? What were the total amount of your bills and were there any adjustments to them? All of those play a significant factor. Also, could any negligence be placed on you by a jury that would affect this offer? Your question is a loaded one. There are a lot of things to consider. However, if you're looking to get "twice the medical bills" in your general damages, then you are misguided

Seeing as we don't know what your injuries are...we cannot help you.

Don't know much about Florida claims but medical expenses have nothing to do w/ general damages here. It's the extent of injury/treatment

Three times the meds in FL or we will seek to have the question of liability, causation and damages answered by a jury of our peers.

TBH, pemanent injury and reasonableness of the bills are the tough ones for plaintiffs here.

You are correct. I didn't mean to imply that they do. Was just stating what all goes into a full injury evaluation of a bodily injury claim. Was only trying to let the OP know we need more information to answer his question

Not enough info. If all you had was a broken pinkie toe it's a good offer. If both testicles were ripped off when you flew over the handle bars they are low or no balling you.
