Due to the special circumstances of this, there should definitely be jail time served as well as restitution. WTH.

No guys, state of Alabama laws do not allocate for a felony in this situation. They are sending this to the AG to obtain max sentencing.

That's the problem. It's not like the prosecutors are going light. They're charging her with what they can charge at this time. I think they're going to keep looking to see if there's anything else they can slam her with and I believe there will be a civil proceeding.

If the property is valued at $500 or less it’s a misdemeanor. The age of consent is 16 so no issue with a 17 year old.
