Meanwhile Russia is flying 30 ft above our destroyer deck, China is building bases by the day, and Iran is shipping weapons all over the East. Obama has single handedly gutted our military the last 7 years and has made us into a laughing stock with his SJW/liberal policies.

So the chick in my course failed land nav(shocker). Then she got a retest and the instructor went along with her to make sure she passed.

FWIW I personally know a woman who can carry an 80 pound pack up Mount Rainier (hint - not flat terrain), I was there when she did it. She's all of 5'2" and probably doesn't outweigh her pack by much.

They're pretty rare but I wouldn't doubt that a woman bigger than her could do much better.

If they can truly do the work then let 'em in. Why anyone, male or female, would volunteer for infantry is another question, it should be grounds for a psych eval at least.

Could she pull an unconscious 200+ pound man out of the hatch of a burning tank?

Color me shocked...

I'm honestly glad to have grown up in the Cold War army and this current shite show. I can honestly say, "we told you so..."

In a situation like that you have to gamble. I'd rather gamble with her than a random male boot graduate. Maybe it works out, maybe it doesn't.

Elite female athletes will be crushed by elite male athletes, but will dominate male amateurs.

How many guys can you really truly trust to pull you out of a the hatch of a burning tank?

Or just lower the standards...

Pressure grows on Marines to consider lowering combat standards for women

quote:

Two years ago, Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, the nation’s top military officer, laid down an edict on the Obama administration’s plan to open direct land combat jobs to women: If women cannot meet a standard, senior commanders better have a good reason why it should not be lowered.

Today, the “Dempsey rule” appears to have its first test case.

The Marine Corps just finished research to see if female officers could successfully complete its rigorous Infantry Officer Course.

A IOC diploma is a must to earn the designation of infantry officer. Of 29 women who tried, none graduated; only four made it through the first day’s combat endurance test.

This is what pisses me off, if you do the same job then you should be held to the same standard. I hated it in the Nave when women got more time to make their run, had to do fewer push ups and sit up yet did the same job I did.

Every MFer on my tank would be able to do it, or we would have a problem. Mary Jane Rottencrotch is generally incapable of developing the strength required to be able to do that. Most males could (and would) get strong enough if given the "proper motivation."
