Women drivers? Do they even let women drive boats? Hopefully not.
Plenty of women sailors can work circles around their male counterparts

Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to let everyone know where each ship was? That just makes it easier to bomb them
It's for high traffic areas. It's a good idea.

Also, how do other boats not crash into boats, yet Navy boats crash into boats
There are plenty of ship collisions/allisions. You just don't hear about them like when you do when it involves a navy ship

Ted Striker:
My orders came through. My squadron ships out tomorrow. We're bombing the storage depots at Daiquiri at 1800 hours. We're coming in from the north, below their radar.
Elaine Dickinson:
When will you be back?
Ted Striker:
I can't tell you that. It's classified.

The solution is easy. Take the 25 worthless people off the bridge who don't need to be up there. You can't even tell who has the conn. Merchant ships seem to handle things just fine with 2 watchstanders on the bridge while at sea

"Dude...you're only 32 miles off the coast of North Korea! Cool!"
That doesn't strike me as being a high traffic area.

Sounds just like the Navy and Coast Guard caused issues I've seen in previous jobs.
No real boss to answer too and no consequences for acting like a dumb arse about any and everything.

Are you inventing some sort of sensor that can detect other ships?
Maybe he is working on something that can detect other ships and determine the distance to them.
It would be incredibly useful.
Too bad that sort of technology doesn't already exist!
