They are going to pervert this issue so much that it will begin to backfire and people will look at these idiots as who they are

Hey Obama, Is that "Pakis", or "Pockis"?

Good point. I'm sure both are racist. And we need to eliminate Pokemon and polka-dots which are too close to be acceptable.

And no thistle seed for feeding birds. Sure, it's been renamed from niger seed to nyger seed but it's still unacceptably close to triggering.

As an African american, I humbly ask to see "N*ggasaurus" in the next installment.

Would love to see a no holds barred Coal Miner's Glove Cage Match between that dinosaur and the Crackasaurus. Crackasaurus only has three teeth, but they are big.

Why do we give this subset of absurd voices so much airtime?

The "offended by everything" crowd is a very small percentage of people yet we hear so much about them because of how shitty media has become.

Why can't we just ignore dumb issues like this.

Ok Im going to need chicken to pin a thread to the top of the OT with a list of words that are offensive so I know what words I can and can't say anymore. I am losing track...

Well, to be fair Chris Pratt did go ahead and pre-apologize last month for anyone that may be offended by him or this movie

And to the UK: You guys nickname your cigarettes what you want, we'll call our dinos what we want.

Considering "paki" means "pure", I don't see why it's a slur.

No its not.

I am friends with a guy who was born in Pakistan and he says "Pakis" all the time. Grew up here and seems 100% American. Went to Vanderbilt and parties his arse off.

Actual example:
"I met this hot Paki girl the other day. My parents would love it if I brought her home"

ETA:

His parents were an arranged marriage and they try to arrange dates for him from their mosque. He is like a Southern white man personality, its hilarious to see his reaction to that

Also, to continue the cliche, they are wealthy from owning...wait for it...several gas station/convenience stores.

Yeah, "Pakistan" means "Pure Land". It was named that because the Muslims of India wanted a land to call their own.

It's not a slur in any way, it's literally a shortening of the proper term. It's like an English person being offended by the term Brit- just nonsensical.

which American audiences may not realize is an offensive slur in the U.K. — referring to people from Pakistan.

Well, its not a slur here. Its just short hand for "Pakistani". It'd be like calling an English man a Brit. (stolen from above post, he had a better analogy than me )

Sticking your thumb up at someone in some countries is equivalent to flipping people off in our country.

Should we stop giving the thumbs up in movies?

WHAT AN a-hole!!!!

Saw this already on the m/tv board. It's objectively dumb as shite. You have to be trying really hard to be offended to even make the connection.

Yeah, the translation itself isn't offensive. "Eskimo" is offensive. I don't see how "Paki" is offensive.

TRIGGERED.

They are Inuits, please refrain from using that racist and oppressive term that holds their culture down.
