You do realize that verse was referring to the British practice of preying upon escaped slaves and turning them into their soldiers, right? Leans some historical context.
The British didn't think much of blacks either. Neither did the African warlords who sold our ancestors into slavery in the first place. We were pawns in the game.
That is our anthem, though, and, honestly, that verse highlights just how far we've come in a ridiculously short period of time as a nation.

I've been to most of the countries on the western coast of Africa. The majority of them lacked even basic sanitation.
And are you telling me that you don't believe there is mass genocide occurring in parts of Africa right now? Maybe you should get out more.

When someone uses the term "white privilege" it's as if they are saying all white people have privileges that people of other races do not have.
It doesn't matter what a person's race is, people who are dirt poor live as if they are dirt poor.
I can think of a few trailer parks in which everyone living there is white and the whole place is trashy (literally). I am talking about people having old cars in their yard with the grass growing under it, small kids outside with no adults... with nothing on buy a diaper. People letting their pitbull run around the trailer park, neighbors are always fighting with each other.
These people look trashy, they talk like they have less than a 1st grade education, etc. I can assure you, those people are not privileged just because they are white.
