I didn’t say that. As an American we should all care about our country as a whole, but we’ve been conditioned to only care about the things that go on in our home.

Heart wrenching.

I don't envy smart, young, and dedicated black men. Their shitty "friends" will always try to hold them back out of jealousy and basically resent them for trying to better themselves.

To be fair, I think this was the second time he was shot at in under a year, so I'm sure he wasn't as angelic as everyone thinks.

You could be right, but it's not like it's far fetched to think he is a great person but hangs in the wrong crowd.

So when some crazy person shoots up a bunch of people the leftists scream that its the gun thats the problem.

But when a white cop shoots a black guy, the cop is racist. Not word one about the gun being the problem.

Can't have it both ways.

Yes, but why are you telling me what to feel and think, eh?

Lots of hypocrisy in here.

I think in another thread someone said he had heard Lee wasn't a choir boy.

Why is it the responsibility of white peoole to fix the problems in the black community? Why can’t blacks take responsibility for their own actions/problems and do something about it?

When the community that young man came from cares as much about he and others who are killed by members of their own neighborhood, as they do when one of their own is killed by an outsider, THAT will make a change.

So are you saying in YOUR opinion that blacks aren't intelligent enough to make a difference on their own, or just showing how ignorant you are overall?

Or do you care that 13% of a population commits 50% of the crime?
Or care that blacks kill more blacks than all other races in America combined?
Or care that the black community has more fatherless homes than fathered?
Or care that majority black public schools are under educated because they don't want to hold the black teachers at said schools accountable?

The black community can prosper, but as long as they do not take accountability for their own created problems and keep voting the way they do nothing will change.

I've thought about this statement, and I have to disagree. You aren't going to like me saying this, but "white people" caring isn't going to make much difference in black people getting killed.

In 2016, 7,881 black people were murdered in the US. 7,638 were murdered by other black people. Nothing is going to change that until there is a resurrection of real fatherhood as a thing in homes of the poorest black communities. 17 unarmed black people were killed by cops in the same year, which is horrible by any measure, but cops are literally the least likely people to kill you if you live in a poor black neighborhood.

Believe me, I do care, but I honestly don't see how my caring can make a difference in a horrible situation in your city, or even in mine.

So...in other words...#BLM is based 100 percent upon white cops who shoot blacks. I knew that before, but now doesn't it seem one thousand percent more obvious?

I am sure Chuck Barkley, Sam Jackson, and Mars will help this cause.

Well, early on in this whole ordeal, “white folk” were outraged and cared. There were many that said, “ya know what, I’m tired of overzealous cops going on a power trip and arresting or shooting inocent people too! I think I’ll join them.” And in return, the “black folk” said, “you can only care about blacks being targeted by cops. If you bring up any other race, then you’re racist.” And then they threw their support behind BLM.

So white folk, Hispanic folk, Asian folk, and all other folk said frick this. I agree with them but all their going to do is shite on me and call me racist, so they can go it alone.

I know. I'm tired and didn't write that very well.

I was trying to tell him what everybody else has been...that until blacks care that the black-on-black murder rate is so high, there won't be any change. Not to mention, they really don't WANT white people to care.

But it's easier to blame other people.

That's called cultural appropriation and gentrification.

Both of those are extremely racist. Or so I've been told.

So it's quite literally, you're racist if you care and try. And you're racist if you don't give a frick.
