I know that some will deem this offensive but I'm simply wondering what the back story on this is. When I go into Rouses on a Sunday afternoon in west St. Tammany they're are many people who are obviously not citizens. This seems to happen only on Sunday afternoon because I go in too frequently on other days. Today my wife went and was ogled by a group of 8 guys in the alcohol section. It got to the point that she called me and wanted to remain on the phone until she got out of there. That's not cool. No pics, she is good-looking and y'all would all say I out-kicked my coverage. Anyway, does anyone know why this seems to occur on Sunday afternoon?

There are women in there as well.

I guess I'm irritated because they were clearly saying things about her. She knows a little spanish.

Look at my history. I'm not a sensationalist. My wife never calls me about shite like this, never. I don't have Facebook or any social media. I guess I would doubt it too. But, it happened.

I was at the Rouse’s by Hannan today.

I saw nothing out of sorts.

I did, however, see a Tesla with a California license plate. I personally prefer the Hispanic population you seem to be referencing.

Possibly me as well, if they are on legal visas and such.

My experience with many non-American men is that they treat women as second class. Latinos and Middle Easterners are usually the worst. I even see it with teenage students.

Sunday is shopping day for many Hispanic families. They are usually working the other days as previously stated. This rings true in many hispanic communities. The Wal-Marts in Cumming/Buford Georgia area are filled with Hispanic families on Sunday. Same with Wal-Marts across America, even on the Northshore.

The ogling you mentioned is also true. I was in Wal-Mart with my god daughter(who would be considered at least an OT 9) and I became very uncomfortable at the amount of staring by the Hispanic men- so much so I had to stare down a few in response. It is a cultural machismo aspect that can produce some unease IMO. It was not just a quick look, it was lingering and done by a group. I have only experienced it that one time with my god daughter, but it's the only time I've gone to a Wal Mart with her, and why would they ogle me when she isn't there? It's not all Hispanic men of course, but the group thing was spot on.

Nursery workers, maybe. Windmill nursery used to bus them into Franklinton years ago on Sunday afternoons but I don’t think they do it anymore.

Makes sense as I've seen many women with their cute toddlers in there.

Have you been to the Four Season's Chinese Buffet (Guilty Pleasure) on a Sunday? It's full of Hispanics. It's been that way since Katrina. A lot of hispanics here work 6 days a week and Sunday is their day for trading. I haven't noticed any huge increase.

Now let's discuss the increase of cars and trucks from Pennsylvannia on the roads here in St Tammany. What's that all about?
