Didn't realize how big Haynesville was compared to other sites around the country. I'm guessing this has to do with the number of rigs that went in when NG was trading at $14.

No big surprise at the decrease over the last couple months.

Like how big it still was or how big it was period? If the latter, then damn, you missed a lot.

i have land under lease there so no i didn't miss it. i was all over that giant haynesville thread on the moneyboard back in the day.

When was natural gas at $14?

There has been a steady increase into the Haynesville for a few years. Improved completions have led to some better wells, and some costs cutting and efficiencies are making it a more economic for a few players. It will probably not have a large increase in activity but just be steady for a while.

2008 i think? back when people were signing leases for 25% royalties in caddo parish.

$13.31 was the yearly high for 2008, but yeah, the going rate was $20k an acre with 25% royalty.

What are they calling rigs?

Drilling, snubbing, and pulling units? Or just drilling rigs?

Not to mention existing infrastructure routed to LNG export facilities that aren’t too far away.


ETA — Jerry Jones has invested a ton in the Haynesville over the last couple years.
