When I'm in my apartment, I do not get a good Wifi connection on my phone for whatever reason. My wifi is fine because I am able to play games online with my Xbox and use my computer just fine. If I go to my parents house, the wifi on the phone works fine.

It's literally just the wifi on my phone at my apartment. It'll work sometimes, but is overall just VERY slow and nothing will load. Even when I turn off the wifi on all other devices and stand next to my router, wifi connection is bad on my phone. FTR, the wifi connection to my laptop in the back of my house, furthest away from the router, works just fine. So imo, this isnt a problem with the modem or router since it works on all other devices.

Ive tried looking this up, but I'm getting no help. Also posted this to Tech board, but no one goes on that. TIA.

Can your wifi handle having the xbox, computer and your phone?

Does your router support 801.11 version (n)? Most phones prefer it.

I have the same problem. When the Xbone is turned off and only a laptop is connected to Wifi, my phone won't load videos more than 10 seconds. Games on my phone are slow as hell too.

not sure what this means.

For context, I have one router. I don't have an extender.

And when my xbox and computer are both turned off, it does not improve the wifi to my phone at all.

Is your router more than 2-3 years old?

Go into your phone settings. Go to wifi and select your wifi network at home. Find the DNS entry. Change the entry to 8.8.8.8. This solved my problem a while back.
