This is true.

quote:

Women’s eyes are better adapted for seeing and differentiating colors more precisely.

I swear the shirt is gray, she smirks and tells me it's green.

Men’s eyes are better equipped for depth perception and judging speed.

The passenger side's carpet is flat from her stomping and screaming, "BRAKE LIGHTS, BRAKE LIGHTS!!!", a hunnert yards ahead.

In my case, I am shorter. It’s harder to see them!

It’s not anecdotal. Women are involved in 20% minor collisions than men are and 30% more reversing or parking lot accidents than men are.

Men are 200-300% more likely to be in fatal accidents.

That’s according my extensive research on ChatGPT
Thanks for doing at least some of the legwork for OP

This is what I'm finding:
quote:

A 2004 study by the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute found that female drivers had a higher rate of minor crashes (such as fender-benders) per million miles driven compared to male drivers. Specifically, women were involved in about 5.7 minor crashes per million miles, while men were involved in approximately 4.3.

This difference may be attributed to factors like driving patterns—women tend to drive shorter distances and in more congested urban areas, increasing the likelihood of low-speed collisions—or differences in spatial awareness and reaction times, though these are debated. However, men are significantly more likely to be involved in severe or fatal crashes, often due to higher speeds or riskier driving behaviors.

Recent data from the U.S. Department of Transportation (2023) also shows that women accounted for about 52% of drivers in minor property-damage-only crashes, despite making up roughly 49% of licensed drivers. The difference is small but consistent.

These stats don’t account for individual skill or context, and social factors, like women being more likely to report minor incidents, may skew perceptions.
A difference in actual collision-reporting makes sense, considering I definitely didn't report shite when I hit curbs and didn't want to use insurance to change a tire and replace them. I could see how women would tend to use Roadside Assistance more, resulting in more reporting of their minor collisions/curb bumps.

After about having 10k of them work for me I have come to the conclusion that they are not aware of much past a foot or two around them. They are too busy externalizing to process that

My sister has never been in a car to car collision while I have been in 3. For some reason though she's ate the curb about 4 times and busted at least one tire each of those times while I haven't.

If women could drive just as well as men why don’t you see any Formula One chick drivers?

Do you actually know why drivers get their seats? It's the $ame reason there aren't any American drivers in F1

Spatial and situational awareness. Its a proven scientific fact...didn't know people didn't know this.

OP used anecdotal evidence for his argument that women "seem" to hit curbs more than men. I used my anecdotal evidence to show that in my experience that isn't the case, because anecdotal evidence is useless. What's hard to understand about that?

In very general terms female hand eye coordination is not on par with male hand eye coordination based on the years of evolution and gender roles both have lived with. There is a difference between men and women other than how we pee.

If you want a real conversation instead of downvoting and making snarky comments about women, they start in karting/lower levels at a very young age and need very very loaded parents to have any chance of trajectory to the top level. Parents tend to let sons pursue more dangerous careers than their daughters. Dale Earnhardt himself continually pushed Kelly away from racing to focus on school and an office career.

clearly you have never tried driving while looking at yourself in the review mirror or you'd understand this by now.

I hit a curb yesterday.

Intentionally, because I want to use the red tees.

I have no explanation for the phenomenon- but I’m doing my part to perpetuate it.
