The great thing about music and TV back then was even the most basic things were so well produced and memorable. I still remember the iconic HBO feature presentation intro like it was yesterday. They'd probably have a techno beat or lame hip hop beat or autotuned voice if they did an intro nowadays.
I think music, TV, and movies blended so well together back then whether it was the Miami Vice theme, the Beverly Hills Cop theme, Star Wars, E.T., Jaws, etc, etc

Holy shite! We had that exact one at the bottom. It was two separate pieces and you could put the tape section in a bag and carry it around connected to a camera. CRAZY!
We also had a Tandy Computer similar to the one someone else posted earlier in the thread. I remember finding the receipt to it just before Katrina. The CPU was 2999. Monitor was 1199. Keyboard was 299. Dot matrix printer was 599. Stupid crazy prices for new technology back then.

Found this on google, first type of cable tv set box. My parents had a similar box i remember. I remember how high tech it was back in the day. You had to press down on the piano style buttons, plus there was these round things on the sides that you had to turn back and forth to get to a certain channel. And there was only a handful of channels!

C3P0's were one of my favorite cereals of all time and I have no idea what they were supposed to be or made of.

Vintage Toys r Us ad. Forget about Xbox and Playstation, these were the two systems to have in the late 80's early 90s.

Why couldn't Doc Brown have been real? Take me away, I don't mind, but you better promise me, I'll be back in time.
