I always knew them as North, South, East, West. Either the East or West was supposed to be the best of them, but I only played North and South that I remember. South was a short course and got swampy after a rain.
Yup, during my lifetime they were always named for directions. My dad called the South course "#2" and I think that dated to when there were only 2 courses.

Surprised not to see it in 7 pages.
Also, I miss Fat City the way it used to be.
I miss St. Paul's having boarders. The day students learned as much from us as they did from Bro. Whoever.

Steinbergs (BTR) downtown. I would have lived there if my parents would have brought me food.

I feel like an old fricker reading this awesome thread. And I’m not 50 (yet!).
I worked at the BK in high school next to the Putt-Putt on Vets, and at the Schwegmann’s on Vets where the Lowe’s is now.
Some of my buddies worked at the Delchamps and K&B on Vets by David Dr. and one of my HS girlfriends worked at the Showbiz Pizza there next to Security sporting goods. Another friend worked at the Chi Chi’s on Vets that became a Circuit City. I don’t even know what’s there now (in Kenner). Seems like a long time ago.

That place was a gem. It was like $5 for all you can eat pizza and a drink. Plus they had tvs with the games on.
It was a short walk off campus.

This is not a place but I miss Cherry's Potato Chips. Those things were greasy as heck but dang they were amazing. You could see the grease in the bag.

My mom would tell stories about sneaking out to see shows there. Pretty cool documentaries about the place on YouTube.

I went to that Warehouse -- anybody remember the original Warehouse on Greenwell Springs?
I shite my pants at that Warehouse Foods. It’s one of my first memories from being a kid.
