It changes everything.

We will most likely have to back off of sanctions and invite them to table globally. Which is sickening with how that regime is run.

They have nukes and are seen as unpredictable. Kim jung is crazy, but he's not stupid. This program of theirs has been run as well as any country's when they first developed their icbm. I don't think they are there yet with subs, but it will only be a matter of time.

Honestly could China just act like a big boy country and orchestrate a coup taking out him and his immediate family over 18, and sending anyone under that into exile never to return? Why the frick can't China just kill them? It's in our mutual interests, since they can only frick up their economy.

Kill Kim and his family, exile the young ones, and then put in a Chinese ruler who will rehabilitate their population into the modern world over 50 to 60 years. That's what literally needs to be done. This is China's mess and they need to clean it up.

China could take them out, but Seoul would be destroyed in the process.

NK has wall of guns embedded into a mountain and the guns are only exposed when they fire. I'm sure NK has many plan b,c,d,e....in case of a coup with how paranoid they are. Plus, as mentioned before, they don't want to deal with humanitarian crisis.

Why? I'm proposing a coup. It's not in China's interest for South Korea to fall since they're a stable and closest trading partner to the capital. I don't see where China profits off of the destruction of South Korea, especially since I'm almost sure they'll be a free country within 2 decades.

I think China has accounted for that and before they strike will make sure Seoul doesn't go.

There's no scenario where they use a nuke and survive.... inflict tremendous damage to us and our allies, sure..... but NK will be gone

Yeah, I mean I understand what you're saying. It's probably too risky at this point or they know something we don't.

A lot of experts really think it's too late to do much but look at them as a sovereign nation. Check out the podcast on This American Life, the guy in there explains much better than I can.

I seriously doubt they only have one nuke. In fact with the facilities they have (huge warehouses of centrifuges used for enriching uranium), they probably have a good bit by now. They may only have one small enough to fit on a icbm, but if they have one, more to come...as seen with every other nation that has developed nukes.

Honestly, how awesome would it be for Xi Jinping to be there, poison the wine of all the Kims present, and orchestrate a mass coup from there. All the guards and officers on his pay with 5 million dollars and an apartment in Macau or Hong Kong as payment. That's how I'd do it at least.

I have an idea. Let's send a fake news crew into North Korea and have the lead anchor kill Kim Jong.
