This is like the third officer in a year or so to be hit at a traffic accident? Maybe it's been longer but I know there have been a few in the not distant past.

This one happened last night/early this morning also, as the state trooper was responding to a fatal accident on the Bonnet Carre. State trooper hit by drunk driver

it's sad that in all probability her life may be gone.
Haven't seen an update, but it's sad to see a person full of life have it changed in an instant by someone's selfishness
