Actually it's not. The swastika is a mirror image of the Hindu symbol. At least that's what Tom Hanks told me when he found the holy grail bloodline

It can be found in both directions in those cultures.

The Asian community doesn't really raise much stink so you can't blame the guy too much. Only on the OT, a bastion of racial tolerance, understanding, and political correctness is everyone soon keenly aware of what is and isn't acceptable in polite company these days.

Yeah, but that is changing. Just last month the Asian community protested the Dalai Lama giving a speech at UC San Diego, calling him oppressive and offensive.

Oriental is certainly not the preferred nomenclature.

A cop hangs a noose in the middle of a public building and you accuse Tangerine of race baiting?

This isn't incident specific. Just saying he adds an extra layer of racial issues to every possible event

Youre a race-baiter.

That is laughable, given the OP and the fact that he is the one who brought Up race. But you predictably and conveniently glossed right over that .

But I am the race baiter. Lmao

As recently discussed on the OT, and news to many, the "O Word" is a no-go these days.

Here's the thing, if an adult lets words hurt their dainty little feelings then they're not really an adult and a fricking child instead.

There's a reason that children are taught "sticks and stones"

OH MY GOD A NOOSE!

Didn't a bunch of white people get hung by a noose in the 1800's as well as black people?

Our country and Political correctness is out of control.

Sounds just ignorant to hang a noose at work. What's the point ?
Sounds like this officer has too much time on his hands.

How is the term "oriental" racist? Is the Asian Far East no longer called the Orient? This Pc shite is reaching absurdity levels.

Oriental refers to an object not a person.

What the hell are you talking about? It's referred to people for centuries without any issues... at least until recently with the rise of the PC police who make every fricking thing "racist".

oriental is " of or from the orient " it could be a rug, spice, person ect.....

But an oriental noose tied up with Chinese knots may still offend 50% of the snowflakes.

i'm talking about how the word is perceived now, the present, the part that we live in, not how it was used centuries ago.

For the record, the OP referencing the racial slur by the Chief was meant to be satirical. It is obvious the Chief had no idea that the use of Oriental has fallen out of favor. Kind of ironic he used it in a quote to Mr. Nakamoto though.
