Only in Louisiana are crooked and corrupt politicians honored on a walk of fame.

Latoya Cantrell is such a pathetic despicable person.

The one redeeming quality of that list is they have two morials listed along with Latoya but Mitch didn’t make the cut. As arrogant and narcissistic as he is you know that’s eating him alive right now.

If Doug Thornton is not on this list then it’s bs. He has been a tireless worker for the Saints and the La Superdome. Hell the Saints would be in San Antonio if it was not for Doug working with Benson and the Governor at that time. When we had the Olympic trials Doug was front and center and the reopening of the dome after Katrina was piloted by him as well.

Anne Rice?
John Kennedy Toole?

If you are going to have actors and artists, how can you leave some of the most famous authors out?

Conspicuously absent from this list Al Hirt. How is he, of all the musicians here, not included?
Politicians (unless a president or a justice of the supreme court) have no business being on such a list.

This list earns a "C" grade at best. It's passable, but average at best. It seems that a lot of names were added rather hastily to reach a count of fifty individuals.

Latoya’s name alone makes it an F. If you can get past her name you still have random nonsense like Troy Carter and Marc Morial and Cedric Richmond which still make it an F overall.

For music: We have multiple rappers and DJs but no Louis Prima? Phil Anselmo? Al Hirt? George Porter Jr? Leo Nocentelli? Henry Roeland "Prof. Longhair" Byrd? Zigaboo Modeliste?
Birdman, slim, and Wayne made it but for the Neville’s only Aaron made it?

Big Freeda made it but the Meters and Prof Longhair didn’t?

The rappers are still living and some are just locally famous so if that’s the case where are the rest of the deserving local musicians? Why is Trombone Shorty the only brass guy listed?

Where is John Kennedy Toole?

Quint Davis?

Bobby Hebert?

Anne Rice?

Buddy D?

Any local artists? Terrance Osborne?

If you’re going to immediately open the list to honorary members like Drew Brees why leave off honorary members in every area more important than sports? Pete Marovich? George Wein? Allan Phillip Jaffe? Emeril Lagasse? Paul Prudhomme? Samuel Clemens? Tennessee Williams? William Faulkner?

How about non pop-culture figures? Andrew Higgins seems like a no brainer with the ww2 museum in the city.

Anyone who loves New Orleans and the amazing art and food and music and writing that has come out of this great city should be deeply ashamed and disgusted at that list.

I’d be willing to bet a room of a few people consisting of a couple elderly geriatrics with deep ties to New Orleans politics and a couple DEI transplant progressive democrats made that list via Wikipedia in under an hour.

Troy Carter? Cedric Richmond? Big Freeda? Torres?

Where's Al Hirt, an actual musician? Louie Prima?

I stand corrected. I was undoubtedly too lenient in assigning a "C" to the list.

You are absolutely correct.

The more I think about it the more upset I am. frick that list and the dipshits that came up with it. The people left off is bullshite and the ones who are actually worthy of inclusion are insulted by the company they’re forced to share.

Typical stupid city project.
