Chicago had 57 in January alone this year. Currently at 360. That's crazy.

To be completely honest with you? No.

Why would I wait hours or even days for some overworked miserable cop to come take a meaningless statement at my house and then file it somewhere and I never get my shite back anyway.

I'll just cancel my credit cards, buy a new phone, and move on with my life.

They don't report those the same way anymore. Now they record less of them.

But Mitch released a statement, in response to Sen Cassidy, emphasizing crime has been lowered 60% from its peak in the 90s.

The only time y'all care is when some Out of towner gets jumped in the quarter. They is no real concern for the crime unless the crime starts leaking into old Metairie or some other wealthy neighborhood. And most of the violent crime is contained with in the bad 'hoods.

This is a clear victory for white Prog politicians. They get to virtue- signal about how " normals" from elsewhere are racist and maintain absolute power over that shithole. And their clientele is too morally depraved to even notice or care. Fifty murders, crime in the streets, tourists in critical care, war- zone schools, an air of malevolence wherever you go? No problem , no white " racism". Prog winning.

I don't understand why everyone is giving SS a hard time about those comments. He is 100% spot on.

That was a tragic situation but thankfully he ended his in life so at least now he won't be able to hurt anyone else ever again.

No he isn't. I care about all the crime happening here. I enjoy doing things in the city, and everytime I bring my family there it's in the back of my mind to be more vigilant than I've ever had to be. If the crime was secluded to the absolute trash areas, maybe he'd be right. But that's no longer the case. It affects everyone coming to the city now, and from what I see most people do actually care.

Not the fricking a-hole joke of a mayor, but most people.

Yes. People do care. Most of them don't even live in the city though. Like yourself

I live less than 10 minutes from anywhere downtown, and spend 45-60 hours of my awake time each week in the city. Don't turn into one of those assholes that says you can only care if you live in the city.

I have plenty of friends and family living in the city, and they all care.
