The state absolutely has an incarceration issue. I'm not disagreeing with you there. I'm simply saying that the cost associated with putting them through rehabilitation programs would likely be the same. I'm all about bringing the 'cost per inmate' down, so if rehab programs do that then so be it. Privatized prisons is something i'm not a fan of, but he government has proven time and time again that it can't do anything in a cost-effective manner. Ultimately, i'd probably vote against privatized prisons if I could choose. I'd be about reducing cost by taking out all the amenities prisoners get. Make it an absolute hell hole... 3rd world, disgusting and terrible. No sympathy... at least give it a shot... but then again i'm an inhumane a-hole so idk
