Damn, that's a big arse building to try and put a fire out in. Structures that big, there isn't a whole lot to do but get above it and spray water on it. I certainly hope NOLAFD won't send their guys in a situation like that. It's a perfect scenario for a collapse. Just get up top and spray and pray. Soak the neighboring buildings to keep it from spreading.

is responding to a 3 alarm fire at 129 Chartres in the #FrenchQuarter. There is a large presence of public safety personnel & vehicles responding. Please avoid the area & listen to officials.

Each subsequent alarm adds 3 Engines and a Ladder. So a 6th alarm would be 18 Engine companies, 6 Ladders, 1 Rescue, and at least 1 Battalion Chief.
