You and the other jackass saying where did you get your law degree are some idiots. I’m not an attorney but I read what you linked.

It specifically says that upon written request of a district attorney, the attorney general may advise and assist in the prosecution of any criminal case. Did JW request JL prosecute this case? If not then shut up.

To make it even worse, what you quoted isn’t even stated at all in that link. You are coming with stuff out of thin air. Apparently you have an ax to grind.

Typical New Orleans no nothing piece of shite acting all holier than thou when you actually are an idiot. Your arrogance and idiocy is what is wrong with New Orleans. When JL becomes governor, New Orleans government and its people will get what it is due.

You’re a disgrace.

Is there any way to prove this?

I don't know the specific numbers, but I know he dumped hundreds of thousands of dollars into the DA campaign in its the last days to run commercials against Williams' opponent. That was part of the campaign finance report.

Williams is a useless POS.

What statue are you talking about? He actually has done something about crime from what I’ve read. He’s got the feds prosecuting gun cases because the DA won’t and the feds have authority there.

While it may be rich I think you missed the point. The Governor is the chief executive officer of the state. If he wanted to shut shite down in New Orleans he could. Guess what the Governor, the New Orleans Mayor and New Orleans DA all have in common? They are all Democrats. This is all by design.

You know why the police don’t arrest the criminals? I do. They want the criminals to continue killing each other. The only thing is now the criminals are killing a lot more innocent people.

Everyone always parrots this, but I’ve never seen or read any proof that this happens

I’m not saying that it doesn’t, just that I’ve never seen hard evidence

Best I have seen is a national PAC gave some money to him during the campaign. Soros didn't need to dump a ton of money in NOLA

Oh look, our resident troll is back. Children, don't feed the troll. I quoted the Louisiana Constitution verbatim. What you are referring to is one of the instances where an attorney general can step in. It is not the only instance. Read the link again.

Landry has no authority to take action on the criminal activity in New Orleans. That is a function that needs to come from the Governor’s office.

Um, no sweetie. Take a look at our Louisiana Constitution, article IV, section 8:

LINK

"The attorney general shall have authority...to supersede any attorney representing the state in any civil or criminal action."

The DA represents the state of Louisiana in criminal actions. The state Attorney General has legal authority to take over criminal prosecutions.

------------------------------------------------------------

(3) for cause, when authorized by the court which would have original jurisdiction and subject to judicial review, (a) to institute, prosecute, or intervene in any criminal action or proceeding, or (b) to supersede any attorney representing the state in any civil or criminal action.

The first sentence of (3) looks like it saying only if ” for cause, when authorized by the court which would have original jurisdiction and subject to judicial review” looks like no dice on that power of AG Landry. Wish he did so maybe he could make a move.He would need blessing from the local court.

Don't think it was millions for Williams, but Soros did dump money into his campaign.

You absolutely did not quote our state constitution verbatim. What you did was completely butcher it. You are quoting different parts of completely different sentences and different subsections to come up with something to bitch about Jeff Landry.

Like I said, I’m not an attorney but I can read what you posted.

quote:

Section 8. There shall be a Department of Justice, headed by the attorney general, who shall be the chief legal officer of the state. The attorney general shall be elected for a term of four years at the state general election. The assistant attorneys general shall be appointed by the attorney general to serve at his pleasure. As necessary for the assertion or protection of any right or interest of the state, the attorney general shall have authority (1) to institute, prosecute, or intervene in any civil action or proceeding; (2) upon the written request of a district attorney, to advise and assist in the prosecution of any criminal case; and (3) for cause, when authorized by the court which would have original jurisdiction and subject to judicial review, (a) to institute, prosecute, or intervene in any criminal action or proceeding, or (b) to supersede any attorney representing the state in any civil or criminal action. The attorney general shall exercise other powers and perform other duties authorized by this constitution or by law

You are absolutely a dumbass who isn’t close to smart and is obviously a troll. According to your reading comprehension and quoting style you would read this as me saying “You are absolutely ... smart.”

Exactly. Jeff Landry is absolutely worthless. I couldn't care less about him suing the Biden administration when NOLA is a complete warzone. He has made no effort to fix things around here, and I'm certainly not going to vote for him for that reason.

This is a freaking retarded take. How about holding the people responsible accountable for their jobs. The DA and mayor are wrecking shite, how about putting pressure on them. It’s not Jeff Landry’s fault the city has gone to shite, it’s the people voting for the idiots doing it.
