Probably so.

Do you know where the substation is? Since I see zero evidence of strong winds I’m assuming that’s where our issue lies (as usual).

This stinks, but like you mentioned at least the sun wasn’t out and it’s a little cool outside.

First power outage that looks like it’ll be overnight with a baby. Hopefully they are sandbagging the 6am like they usually do or will probably send the mama and baby somewhere else.

Oh, no. I just being a bitch with that one and pointing out that the power was off half a day for equipment failure last month on a sunny, clear day.

I would feel better about the sandbagging if I saw A SINGLE TRUCK OUT WORKING. But there is nothing.

I should’ve called in for tomorrow and stayed at the beach

On this side of Jefferson right after you pass the Circle K. I think there is also a secondary line that runs back by BCBS over to a substation in Oak Hills. But I can’t confirm that.

Judging by the lack of even crepe Myrtle petals on the ground I’d say something catastrophic happened there. Again.

Maybe a fox farted in that general area.

I think they will say it’s not safe for crews and only send them out after conditions are optimal and there has not been a lightning strike in 30 days for 500 miles or some shite.

Ummm…. It hasn’t been doing shite for AT LEAST the last hour. frick that.

And I was outside on a horse when the power went off and I’m not even paid for that…

We are going on 2 hours without any assessment. Their equipment fricked up again…

And they know they have to order a part again…

So that’s why we get the tomorrow estimate.

I’ve been watching the outage map. All the other red areas are drastically shrinking.

Ours hasn’tt moved

I lied. There’s been one update. Transmission/substation, as predicted. They must just only use their shittiest equipment for our grid.

We got absolutely blasted on the Westside. All power was out at my house and everything south of the Intracoastal to Plaquemine for a bit. Got it back at my house about 30 minutes ago.

I was coming back from pass Christian today and was a few miles before the Sorento exit on I-10 and there was a point, for maybe 5 secs where it was raining.. one of the hardest I ever seen it (I would say the hardest, but I can't remember every hard rain storm I have experienced). This was right before 2PM. Other cars were putting on hazard lights.. Then there was some jackass who passed up up right before it started raining hard.. It was still raining. And he is in and out of lanes.. That's how accidents happen in rain storms, because people are already panicking,

They don’t have the part, I’m sure. They knew it was the stupid substation so they didn’t even bother to send crews out to “investigate”
