Dammit my dogs love the dog park too
Will have a hard time denying them a walk to the park when I am off of work. They almost expect it now.

Dogs can be infected but they can’t pass it back to humans I believe
I hope this is true. There are a few loose dogs in my neighborhood. Most stay in their yards but my next door neighbor has one that roams around all day. I see at least three when I walk or bike the neighborhood. One on a leash nearly touched me yesterday. I had to get off the pavement to avoid him.

I'll start worrying when they report cats are getting it.

Well thats not good if dogs can be carriers
Vet on tv in my area last night said that it the virus could live on a dogs coat and should be bathed with a dog shampoo only to not strip the oils. ??? IDK just passing on what he stated.

Damn this virus is mutating quickly
ETA: and if my wife wasn’t freaking out enough. The two dogs we have at home is a damn 15 year old pomeranian and a German Shepard.

“It is very likely that the two positive cases [in Hong Kong] are examples of human-to-dog transmission,” Professor Malik Peiris, a public health virologist at the University of Hong Kong told the outlet.
But there’s no evidence that pets can transmit the virus to humans, a spokesman for the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department said.

Neither dog showed any symptoms.
“The department will continue to closely monitor both dogs and conduct repeated tests on the animals,” the spokesman said.

And just a few days ago there was no evidence of human to dog infection. This thing is changing fast

Yep, this would actually be really horrible news if true.
