You’re correct. When I worked as a bellman in the early 2000s, I loved Essence Fest weekend. It’s a good crowd.

Don’t worry though. My NOPD Twitter alerts have been blowing up tonight. I particularly like how they call them “aggravated battery by shooting.” I bet getting shot is pretty aggravating.

I frankly, cannot picture you than anything else but a bellman.. Useless at best, just waiting on your tip from your betters and hating them for doing it.

When did you go to New Orleans for Essence Fest?
He hasn’t but his old coworkers boyfriend was a friend of friend that once went. He never actually said he had fun at essence fest, but he never said he hated it either.

I know dudes that still do it and live pretty comfortably. Not a bad career. I enjoyed it, even though I had to quit when I left for college after a few months.
