but the confederacy lost over two hundred years ago to the Union's superior tactical skill and training
There was nothing superior about the Union's tactical skill or training.
What the Union had that the Confederacy didn't was sheer numbers and a rail system able to quickly transport supplies to their forces.
To recap.
Tactics: Confederacy > Union
Training: Confederacy > Union
Strategy: Confederacy > Union
Logistics: Union >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Confederacy
Game over

you do realize that's NOT the confederate flag, right?

google it...
people think that the "Stars and Bars" is the confederate flag, when in actuality it's only a part of the flag that the CSA flew....
look it up...

You better believe white, free men wanted to keep slaves slaves. Not even necessarily out of racism but simply to keep their way of life and economy alive. Like I said, it's not even necessarily a racist thing, but yes, most of the South wanted to preserve slavery.
Slavery wasn't a race thing and I hate all you idiots that buy into that it was. Were you not taught about indentured servitude? It was a form of slavery used by whites to control/own Irish peasants.

nor was it a north/south thing.... of the original 13 colonies, at the height of their slave owning days, New Jersey actually had the most slaves....

Obviously Hispanic. This is Colorado we're talking about. I don't know why people keep thinking they look black other than to look for some excuse for something I'm not even sure of.

Please quote where I said or implied it was a "race thing". In fact, in another post in this thread, I specifically mentioned it was not a race thing.

Oh. So it was really about the white man keeping the white man down! Someone tell Jesse and Al.

it really wasn't as much a race thing, as a money thing.... granted, the picture we all envision of slavery is white owner, black slave, but there was plenty of white (normally Irish) slaves, and there were even black slave owners.... they were in the minority, sure, but that goes more to my point that slavery was more about money than race...

I knew that's what you were going for. Yes the flag is a variation of the one used during the confederacy, but it's now widely known as the confederate flag.

I couldn't tell because the face was blurred out and most of her body was covered by the dress.

it was NEVER used, as it is seen in that photo, by the CSA as their flag.... therefore, it's not the "confederate flag"...
has it become known as the "confederate flag"? sure... by morons all over... sure has.... but historically speaking, it's NOT the confederate flag...
either way, people STILL referencing this flag for whateverinthefrick reason, are beyond stupid, and personally, the world would be a better place without them....
