Growing up in the projects during the 80's crack explosion and early 90's when NO was the murder capital of the America was pretty easy living.

You're oddly defensive of Master P

Google maps. If you know which house was his, you will see his back yard was part of a levee.

Do you have any idea what you're talking about?

I also recall the rumors that P was influencing LSU football games, at the same time the defensive backs mysteriously suddenly couldn't swat down passes right in front of them. Then suddenly P stopped being seen at the Rec and the new rumor was LSU kicked him off campus bc of the football bribing.
This wasn't a rumor at all. It created a ton of problems on the team. There were players that had legitimate pro aspirations like Gabe Northern who flipped the hell out over this.
If those rumors were true, that was a big fricking deal and we should be happy it was all swept under the rug.

The buying of 20 cars at one time at Gerry Lane is true. I was there and drove a handful of them. Not all the cars were ready that day and had to be ordered in. P, Silkk and others only left with 5 cars initially. It was a mix of Impalas, Astro vans, and Camaros. P picked out all the colors. It was my understanding that he was giving out the cars for signing with NL.
The black salesman, Juan, was the only guy that they fooled with. He had a helluva month and had no idea who he was dealing with when P stepped on the lot for the first time. Funny story, P showed up one day to buy a few cars and Juan wasn't there and they had to call him in because P wouldn't deal with the old white guy that tried to jump in and get the sale.

They flew back and forth to Houston a lot. I happened to be on one of the flights from BTR one Friday morning, the plane was full of NL and there were only 3 white people on board besides the flight crew. Continental asked if I was sure that I did not want another flight as there were others that were changing to later flights. I flew and it was off the hook...music and drinks provided by NL.

This thread is bringing back lots of memories of driving to Peaches to buy most of the rappers mentioned albums. That's all we listened to was NOLA rap, lol

and Master P was about as ghetto growing up as Taylor Swift. It's an entertainment facade. Face it.
Which housing project did Swift grow up in? P was in calliope.

Dude I'm so white I used to get Master P and P Diddy confused. I thought they were the same person for a long time.

It seems to have killed what was once a vibrant blues and rock-and-roll scene.

Haha.I think No Limit knowledge was a class at Broadmoor. I do remember in Ms. Green class we would all start beating on the desk to a No Limit beat and she would say "What do yall people know about beats like that"
She was a racist women. Hahah
C\O of '81. Yeh I know I'm old.
One day in Ms Green's class she made the statement that blacks would never kill each other to us white kids. My buddy pointed out that two black guys killed each other over the weekend in New Orleans. They were fighting over a banana which was true. The look on her face.
I have no idea how my buddy passed that class.
