When you think about it, i mean what good was having a permit to conceal carry?

Are you a veteran or a disabled veteran? My father-in-law is a disabled veteran and his was free as well.

because you have to take a class on gun safety and know how and when to use it.
I wholeheartedly disagree with this. now any yahoo can carry a gun without having had any training on how to handle themselves with it. this is a fricking disaster.
if you have to take a class in order to be able to drive legally, you should have to take a class in order to carry a handgun legally.

We can make this a priority, yet this state continues dragging its feet on legalizing marijuana.
And for the record, I've been a TX CCL holder for over 10yrs. This just doesn't seem to be a major priority to me for this state.
