NEWSFLASH: MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY GARBAGE COLLECTION
City-Parish offices will be closed on Monday, May 29 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Residential garbage (both in cart and out of cart woody waste/bulky items) and recycling will be collected on Monday as normal. The landfill will be open normal business hours as well, 5:30 am – 5:00 pm on Monday.

Picked up in Baton Rouge. Non-municipal employees working for contractors usually don't get federal holidays.
