Private beach or public beach?

All beaches in Florida are public... don't let anyone tell you anything different! It's the access to the beach that may be private.

Pay for chair and umbrella service

The beach service dudes usually pick up everything at 5:00, we like to hit the beach after lunch and stay until 7-8Pm, and in the state of Fl all beaches are public property, even behind the condos, you should be able to bring and set up anything you want that is allowed under local ordinances.

Was at the beach two summers ago and met the VP of EZ-UP. I asked him why they don’t put flaps in the peak of the tent so wind can escape keeping the tent from blowing away. He said that every time he sees a tent cartwheeling down the beach he gets a warm feeling in his wallet.

Making a product with a known defect for profit purposes? Seems like solid info for a product liability suit.

It's not that hard carrying an umbrella and chair down to the beach each morning. I hope they eventually outlaw all canopies.

'tards leave them out all night and the wind blows them away, breaks part of the frame and then they wad them up and leave them by a 5 gal trash can near the walkover of their condo. Just pay the chair guy for frick's sake.

We rented 4 umbrellas and 10 chairs for about 5 hundo for the week. Well worth it. Always love watching the folks that bring out 8 wagons of shite and setup for 2 hours like it's gameday at LSU

ETA: appears I've struck a chord

Don’t you know how to bribe someone? Just give the guy a few bucks and he’ll let you set up whatever wherever you want. Not that complicated.

Do they let you take the rented chairs and umbrellas down close to the water?

That’s because you go at the wrong time of year

Lol. No. It's the mean high tide mark. Not this or that anyway. Mean (as in average) high tide mark.

Now, not all beach front properties own the beach to the high tide mark. But those that do, that's what it is. You can walk down the beach. That's it. No chairs unless it's low tide.

I don't know either, but I'll hit Pensacola way before I'll ever go to Destin again...

It’s not a known defect. Failure to make a product improvement doesn’t make you negligent. Does the thing block the sun as designed? Then it works. That’s like arguing that cars built without the traffic lane cameras and collision avoidance in my Mercedes are defective.
