Everything is now designed to get the absolute most money out of people as possible and parking is big business. This was in the late 80s I guess, but I remember when I was younger and my dad saw something like bottled water being sold he would say something like "wait until they find away to charge us to breath".

One one hand I get it, but on the other.. it starts to seem like life is a scam.

I guess you live in the wrong city in Alabama. My wife and I were given a code to get out free after the birth of our son a few weeks ago

I can read. I know he said Birmingham, Alabama. I was just quoting what it would likely cost in N.Y. and what we pay here in N.O. unless heading to the Quarter, then it's usually high as a giraffe's arse in those lots.
