Y'all made the comparison not me. I listed another political message displayed by the NFL in the past.

I made no such comparison and I quoted you.

And what NFL team rioted yesterday?

Oh dear.

NFL>>>>>>>Supports Salute to service for the military>>>>>they don't riot

NFL>>>>supports blm>>>>>>>they do riot

Can you point out where I made a comparison? Other than saying they're both political moves by the NFL?

You compared them here while trying to insult me.

Comparing service member to a group of rioters is just pathetic even for you.

I took this as a comparison. One vs. the other.

Military presentations by the NFL isn’t a political stance.

In regards to the NFL, it is an economic one, as you already pointed out.

There is no inherently political message when it comes to the presentations.

You could argue a “nationalistic” message, and Scruffy would agree, but not sure how it would be construed as “political”, unless you believe the base concept of the military and any/all viewpoints pertaining to it are political, no matter the context.

Do you believe that anything ever said, performed, or proclaimed by any government entity is a “political message”?

Also, like you said, the NFL is paid to do it.

There is no economic driver for the BLM message. It is STRICTLY political.

Love how he's backtracking on the notion, as if it was somehow supposed to be seen as anything else.

Unlike BLM, the military is not advocating for any particular policy position. So the definition of "political" you are trying to use is entirely different.

You could take your line of argument and say that any honoring of NYPD/FDNY at sporting events on 9/11 is political, because they are also government entities.

I do enjoy your attempts at rationalizing your intentionally silly comparison though.

FWIW, the weekly stand up if you've been in the service segment in the dome while playing proud to be an american over the speakers has always made me cringe

Sure.

Most of those situations are incredibly cringeworthy, and Scruffy would bet large sums that a big percentage of military vets feel the same way.

Scruffy’s stance is in regards to the defining of any military-related events/programs as “political messages”, which he disagrees with that stance.

And like he said, most are incredibly cringeworthy.

Just for the record The Bucs at Saints game yesterday was the highest rated week 1 NFL game on fox sports in 4 years. Biggest audience in TV since the SB.

Not to the extent seen with the military, but the whole “healthcare hero” bullshite is incredibly annoying to the VAST majority of medical personnel, and Scruffy bets that many vets hold the same views.

That's your own problem then. I was merely stating the NFL has pushed non football related political messages for a long time. It's only a problem now that they pushed one you don't like.

That isn't my logic though.

I've been clear on it. The DoD has paid millions for this message to be displayed all over the NFL.

And the NFL has already paid over 100 million to social justice groups to have the privilege of having their messages displayed all over the NFL.

The DoD paying to send a certain message is political. The NFL didn't do this out if the goodness of their heart. They did it for some $$$. Just like painting end racism on end zones.

Out of curiosity, who paid them money to paint "end racism" in the end zones?
