They anchored immediately. They stayed for hours searching in the storm. They finally had to let the others get back to shore bc they couldn’t find him.

And supposedly this “booze cruise” is the cruise the kids all look forward to bc they can drink.

The drinking age in the Bahamas is 18 so they could drink anywhere.

Yes. They went with GradWeek, which is a company that specializes in senior trips. These kids just graduated on Sunday.

They went out in a storm or all the sudden a storm hit? Or the weather was fine when the kid jumped out and then a storm hit during the search? So many questions.

Ask around, it’s floating around everywhere. If you have a teenager in BR, they have it.

17/18, they aren't going without me on a trip like that. I don't trust other adults to be responsible for my kids in a foreign country, drinking, chaos, etc. That age today isn't how it was back in the day when you think of our grandparents going to WWII. They can't make adult decisions yet plus the world is different and there's more danger. Reminds me of the Natalie Holloway senior trip case also.

Literally just said this. No way is my kid going to the Bahamas without me being present at every fricking activity.

They can’t make adult decisions because parents like you have coddled them their entire lives and won’t let the cross the street without you holding their hands. My 17 year old is going on an education school trip to Italy and Greece next week for 10 days. I’m gonna give him some cash and a credit card for emergencies. I’ll be happy if he texts a few times while he’s gone.

I wouldn't let my kid leave country without me but I'm sure the UHigh parents planned this and were comfortable with who was going with them

Doing a night time cruise like that is kind of dangerous, maybe during the day would have been better

Mine went to beach in Florida and parents stayed close by for entire trip in case anything happened, two parents went for first part of trip and other parents went at the end

Because this is exactly the same as going to the Bahamas for a booze cruise.
