After watching that, my observations:
1)Dud narrating probably didn't personally know him. He seemed to be so drunk that he was being objective (yet blunt seems cruel).
2) Girls must have been more sober cause they seem to realize how serious it is. From the shreeks to the girl saying him by name.

We get it. You don't want to see it and think it's weird to investigate this boy's death. I don't want to see it either. But nobody owes you am explanation about why they are interested in it. Bring it down.

Why does anyone want to see a video of that boy dying?? Seriously, I want y’all to respond with reasons why it made your life better to have seen a video of a teenager dying. Granted the kid was stupid as F and was perhaps a Darwin Award winner, but why does anyone want to see it happening??
I honestly believe it is just human nature. The same reason people rubberneck at a wreck. On some fundamental level, people put themselves in the victim’s shoes. Everyone knows that the clock is ticking for them too. It also might explain why he disregarded the life buoy.

Might as well start the sentence with 'im not trying to be an a-hole'.
Im just curious because this is a big thread on here and the guy just posted screenshots. Just asking a question

1000% not the same thing, knowing how your child died and having internet sleuths broadcasting the death on message boards is not the same thing.
It's still not immediately apparent what caused that kid to go under the water imo.
I think we all assume that the Van der... guy killed Natalee but why does the family want to know if they all agree she's no longer living? Mostly some kind of closure.

Y’all are missing my point. A kid is dead. Why are what I’m assuming are adults, foraging video images of his death?? Again, I ask for the umpteeth time, what good is it to you to watch that video???
Seriously, no judgement, I just want someone to explain why they watched the footage.

At no point in that video was he dead, bit either way I did it because I wanted to.
I think it sucks for his family and friends that its out there, but it took me 5 seconds to find it. I was curious. This is still America right?

Are there not warnings about shark attacks there?

Obviously I’m interested in this or else I would have never posted a comment, yet you nor anyone else has answered my question as to why people want to see it.

Maybe it’s just the grainy video I saw but I didn’t see him go under as much as just the camera losing him as the boat kept going.

I can’t believe that kid jumped. How sad.
Posted on 5/29/23 at 9:20 pm to NFLSU
Same. I just saw it as that the boat was moving and left him behind and he disappeared into the darkness. No screaming or him saying anything, although not sure you would have heard that on the video.
Posted on 5/29/23 at 9:20 pm to WinnaSez
Because, as I said, nobody owes you an explanation and several people have pointed out that you're just being pedantic at this point.

I would assume the warning is dont go in the water, especially at night.

How long have you been using the internet? Have you never searched for something online simply because you were curious? I was curious. There were images posted so I wanted to see the video. Nothing more, nothing less. Why did I want to see? I just did. Because, again, I was curious. There is nothing more to it.
If I am curious I have the right to search for it online. This is something that happens on the internet everyday.

If it was my kid, I'd want to know how they died, not just that they jumped off the boat. This wasn't a cruise ship. Why couldn't they be rescued? What exactly happened?
As uncomfortable as the topic is I'd still want to know.
I agree that the videos would be rather upsetting though.
