You are certainly right, it's just their habitation in this country. I just had to say it, they think they're so smart with that gotcha. It's just a term Sally, we know that a person isn't illegal. If they go back home, they're no longer breaking the law.

How do people deal with kids brought here illegally if you can’t find the parents? This is the type of issue I just don’t know how it resolves
By taking away all the benefits they've been getting for years. No more free school, no more free housing, food, healthcare, etc, etc... and let it be known that they will always be hunted.

no
not because they're illegal
is spite of
because they live in the State of Texas and graduated HS
its as much about the money that is made off of granting the scholarship
no matter where they come from
they use white kids American born In the same way

FWIW, as a 2x Texas Exe, I was PO'd about this when I found out about it years ago. I checked the numbers at UT, and it was like 20 kids out of 50k, so not like thousands of them. Having said that, it was still an offensive policy. I'm glad to see it gone.

Not gonna lie, there’s something about my legal son going to Texas and paying out of state rates the past four years versus someone who walked over the border and getting in state rates, kinda rubs me the wrong way.

They had to have established residency in Texas for like 3 years by the time they graduated high school or earned their GED.
This was law for like 20 years, I’m surprised so many didn’t know about it,

Illegal immigrants are a huge source of labor and tax revenue in Texas, it makes sense to want to keep them in Texas.

yep
and patrick, paxton, miller have all contributed to it up until it became politically expedient to change it
like patrick and the cbd ban

You think most of the teenagers crossing the border are getting accepted into and paying over $12k a year for Texas.
The idea that this "rubs" any of you at all is asinine.
