Get a Timex 1440. $20 and it tells the same time as a Rolex.

Check out Toppers Jewlery. They usual have some nice pre owned on deals Toppers pre owned. I bought an eb and a ball from Rob that someone bought on layaway and never picked up. Next I will get either an omega speedmaster triple date or an oris pro diver chrono

I mean if it tells time till the battery dies, its good to somebody.

Don't buy a quartz watch. The battery will corrode and ruin the movement without warning. Quartz's are disposable watches. They are great for beaters, but don't count on them lasting over 10 years. No sense spending over $100 on them. Also, a cheap watch won't have a sapphire crystal, so you'll get an annoying scratch on it in no time.

I believe you, but I won't pay the money it takes to find out

I'd have to go through 120 of these fossils to equal one breitling

You buy a nice watch with the intention of keeping it for life and it lasting much longer.

You ain't handing down no Fossil to your grandchildren.

I'll never understand why men buy expensive watches... it's a damn watch.

I'll never buy a watch that expensive. I'm just in this thread because I like them. I loose them in the river and scratch them all to hell and other dumb shite like that. I do good to get more than a year outta one.

Get a G-Shock. Seriously durable watches that are reasonably priced and come in many different styles.

Everyone should have at least one G-shock IMO.

The Timex will probably hold better time, that said it doesn't stop me owning finer timepieces.

Until it gets wet or just breaks because it's plastic.

I completely get the expensive watch thing and everything about it and I'd love to have one. I love these threads.

My personal watches are disposable though. I'm just too trashy (and poor) for the nice rigs

This watch caught my eye the other day. A lot simpler than other watches posted in this thread but I think it looks great. Comes in a black or silver dial.

Until then it will hold better time....

not all cheap watches are delicate, case in point G-shocks.

As stated people don't buy nice timepieces to never lose seconds per day.

not all are created equal, many tweek a standard movement....at least buy a timepiece with an in house design/movement.

That's the kind of stuff I like.

One thing I really liked on a past watch was the bezel was slightly raised higher than the glass (by just a few thousandths) and it sure saved it from a whole lot of scratches.

I love my Victorinox, been my watch for the last 7 years. They have a timeless style, but are relatively affordable.
