Like that one. What's the model #? Kinda reminds me of the Nighthawk, which would be another (albeit much cheaper) option for the OP

Do you have a smartphone in your pocket?

If so, it should have to time on the lock screen.........or somewhere easily accessible. They usually throw the date on there as well.

Bitches love a guy who dresses well and has good taste in phones for sure. Try going swimming with your smartphone so you can keep time.

Of course I'd get a rolex but my budget was under $2k. I'm not spending $6500+ on a watch.

I had a Longines years ago that was stolen from me. Sad because my dad gave it to me.

None new under $2K. Very few used from a reputable dealer under that amount.

Gotcha, I wasn't too sure. I was surprised that the Longines in the OP was in that price range, which got me curious.

You used to be able to get an SMP for well under 2k. No idea what the market is like now.

Same here. I looked at them when I decided I couldn't afford anymore $3-$5K watches (I bought two Speedmasters and a Seamaster), but my Jeweler recommended Hamilton for something in the <$2K range.

Disclosure, not an OT baller. Spent two years in the Middle East tax free (with COLA and IDP) and came back with some savings. Immediately spent about $14K on watches.

I'm sure you can still get a used one from a private seller or some of the gray market guys online, but I wouldn't recommend you buy anything without a clear serial number and matching pictogram and warranty card. No way to know that it's authentic otherwise. I bought all mine new.

Yeah. I told myself that at least I didn't buy an M3 or Corvette like a couple of my buddies.

The longines in the op can be had for just over $2k

Not too familiar with the brand, but most other "premium brands" allow their authorized dealers (ADs) to sell for up to 15-25% off (brand new with warranty and all the trappings).

This is a great site if you're just getting into this. Watchuseek

You can also check out the watch snob on Ask.com for some laughs, but most of his advice is way above my paygrade (he is a fan of my Speedmaster "Moonwatch" for its historical significance).

My next one... Seiko Ananta Double Retrograde, cost about $1,700. I love the Ananta GMT I wear daily..

Seiko doesn't get enough credit because they're a Japanese company (vice Swiss). From what I've read online, they've been turning out some good pieces.

The Spring Drive movement on the Ananta series is a technological masterpiece...

Spring Drive

My daily wear, Ananta GMT... The styling isn't for everyone but I do get lots of watch enthusiasts asking to check it out. Seiko should be giving me royalties as I've sold a few for them in the last year.
