Sad about the Silver Moon, but we’ll definitely hit up AM Mart for a visit when we are there for orientation this June.

After you get your La. seafood fix, Superior on Gov't is still good, but they put a new one, really nice Superior down Highland Road by Kenilworth..if you're in the mood for Mexican at all, you can't beat it.

Fun for your birthday with good food - get a table in the bar area at Mansur's - always a hit. Another favorite local spot is Beausoleil. Both are near the college drive/corporate Blvd area. Casual food and drinks, the relatively new Overpass Merchant is good. Dinner across the street at Digiuolio's for Italian has been a local spot for years.

The Baton Rouge Blues festival is downtown this weekend also. You can check it out and then go to Tsunami for sushi or Little Village for Italian.
