I wish they’d make what’s under the hood look like the NSX: 3.5 L V6 that puts out 573 hp and does 0-60 in 3.1 seconds. My folks’ neighbor has one. That thing is tiny. It was also twice the price of what this thing is gonna cost.

t one time Chevy was really wanting to lower the average age of Corvette purchasers. Could this model do it?

I would think the (probable) $60-80k price tag limits their demographics, not the body style

The new mid engined Vette should be pure awesome.

Supposedly the next gen Camaro will be even smaller and lighter than the current model too.

It was suspected as a Cadillac halo car for a while, there are still those saying Caddy will split the platform for a halo car.

The new 4.2L Cadillac V8 is being hand built in the same factory. It will have 550 HP in the CT6 sedan, and likely over 600 HP in the new rumored Eldorado, but that will be a front engined car.

I hope not, since the current Corvette ZR1 already cranks our 755 hp and can do 60 in under 3 seconds.

It's tough to make a mid-engined sports car that doesn't have similar lines.

Same goes for Lamborghini and McLaren.

Corvette ZR1 had gone about as far as you could probably go on a front engine chassis.

I expect amazing things from the new mid engined Vette. It’s going to be an awesome sports car just like it’s predecessor, but with better performance and supercar styling.

There will be several engine options with the top being rumored at 1,000hp.

Meh. The current Corvette ZR1 is already faster than that.

Looks like the back end still needs to be de-Camaroed. They lost me with those design cues.

No way to tell what they will will look like without the camo. The headlights are not the final production.

Sure it looks fine, but it'll ruin the sanctity of the muscle car. Dumb move IMO but I'm biased and couldn't care less about the business case.

But the Corvette was never/will never be a muscle car.

How will this make Chargers and Challengers worse? The Corvette has ALWAYS been a sports car, not a muscle car.

Also, at the clownshow up there that wants to put a smaller engine in the Corvette that's more expensive and is slower.

They are leaked intentionally so that they can gauge the people's interest on forums that discuss it.
