If you figure out the app/fast pass system you can actually ride as much as you want to 80-90 percent of the year. Those other days just suck.
I work with a few people that have this down to a science.
Have never been myself, no desire, but I am in awe of how in depth they are with their planning. They get off on having special insider knowledge and it is funny to nitpick the other person's trip when they get back.

They reach capacity. It happens at Disneyland all the time because the park is smaller and there is only one other park (California Adventure) to take away some of the people.
I have heard about it occurring at Magic Kingdom, but never seen it.

That'll be great especially when one dies between landings on 105 Degree Florider days.
Even better with a foreigner with non-American hygiene standards and you're the next one that gets that car.

The planning doesn’t even have to be that meticulous. You just need to get your fast passes in early for some of the more popular rides and then pick a new ride after you’ve completed your third and final one(can pick one at a time after initial three). Things are coming open constantly and you can usually select your next ride within 15-30 mins of the one you’re about to get on.
Really just need to be willing to walk around a bit.

All that shite sounds too stressful for a vacation

No more stressful than scrolling through tigerdroppings on a Tuesday.
I’ve never been on “vacation” though. Live about 2 hours away and usually just take kids up for the day. I really feel bad for people who spend 5k to go to Disney.

Like I said, the guys I know love that. They plan it and brag or complain about their strategies. That is their idea of vacay and they are just as confused by my idea of a vacation.

There is an art to it. Once you learn how to manipulate it the park is pretty manageable even on more crowded days. 7D and Avatar are time traps 1st thing in the morning unless you have magic hours or at the gate the minute the park opens. Scrolling through ALL your time slots for fastpass is key. It’s always changing. If you don’t burn through all your FP by 11am, you are doing it wrong. Once you burn final FP, you need to be on the app on multiple devices checking alternating time slots and rides available. For +$100 tickets per family memeber I take advantage of every shortcut available. No ragrets

All of this is greek to me. Sounds like those super coupon people.
I love hearing it though, love the strategy.

Stay on the resort, cuts half the lines with parking and allows early access. Get fast pass, book and just show up. Easy solutions to actually have an enjoyable time

There is a little dopamine rush when you pop that app open and see a fast pass pop up for a ride where people are currently waiting 90 mins for

Because until now they had a couple designated smoking areas in each park that were ducked off and out of the way of where everyone else would be walking by.
What are they gonna do if they catch you smoking? Because you know people are gonna find ways to sneak off and do it.
Tammy from Tuscaloosa ain’t gonna just give up her 2 pack a day Marlboro Reds habit just because Mickey tells her to.
Her Baby daddy worked all year on that turnaround to be able to take her and her 4 kids to Disney, and this is the only week little Braxxtyn doesn’t have travel ball.
Hell, the twins Whyvonne and Legnassecnrip had to miss their dance tournament.
And you really gonna tell me that the baby can’t have her deluxe stroller? Heavynnleigh-Graighcye is a big girl on account of she’s so sweet! It ain’t the high fructose corn syrup and the Mountain Dew!

And yes you won’t be bringing a stroller that doesn’t meet the rules in.

What is the purpose of this? So people can’t even drink their own melted ice and have to buy water from Disney?
It was clarified that you can have ice, but it must be in ziploc bags. They are trying to make bag/cooler searches go faster.

Disneyland was full of skunky smoke. I was pissed when my wife told the oldest what it was.
Now I have to work ten times harder to cover up.
