What's out there? I know we've got Harveston, Long Farm, Lexington park. Any of these excite anybody? Any others I'm missing?

I was excited about Long Farm until I saw D.R. Horton was the builder....

Audubon Square, Rouzan, University Club (still have lots).

I like Long Farm, but I don't like the prices.

Why, that area sucks. I wouldn't want to live that close to Airline

All of the houses so far are are on Barringer/Jefferson. If I remember correctly the retail portion will be what borders airline.

I like Harveston but it's out of my budget. I may consider Lexington Park next year but we'll see how it shapes up.

It seems like all the new developments have tiny lots and high prices. The quality of the homes is often high (Rouzan, Harveston), but with no yards it's hard to see young families moving there.

But the neighborhood is laid out in a walkable, bike-able way, with nice communal amenities.

not an issue as millenials start having kids. Stats show more likely to seek urban environments(and faux Urban) over the 'burbs

I have to wonder how many $400,000+ range developments will make sense

You're not going to see too many new neighborhoods in BR with the big lots and the yards anymore. To get a new house with that you'll have to find a one off lot somewhere. New developments seem to be focusing on fitting in more home rather than wider lots.
Another area that's developing is Burbank between Lee and Staring. DSLD has a neighborhood but if you don't want to go with the DR Horton volume builder types there's University Villas next to it. They just started building out the new part where the houses will be bigger than the ones in the front - but still 0 lot line.

I get that and I like the trend of the tnd's. I just think there's something to be said for having your own yard for your kids to play in.
