The Pope should focus on saving souls and completely eradicating the pedophilia in the Catholic Church that has been a disgrace. I wouldn’t let my sons be altar boys because of the systemic problem that existed. Remember that Jesus said to remove the beam in your own eye first. As a Catholic I’d prefer the church stay out of politics, and remember that Jesus said to give to Caesar what belongs to him and God what belongs to God. Compassion is what Jesus promoted when he told the rich man to sell his belongings and give the money to the poor, he didn’t say the government should take it from the rich man and give it to the poor.

It is my business, I’m Catholic.

Exactly.

This seems weird. The Pope should stay out of politics.
It’s only political if you make it. Is littering political?

Quiet. Men are speaking.
“And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.”
1 Timothy 2:12

I posted a meme, no sound was uttered.
Pope is only infallible if speaking ex cathedra.
Don’t forget the rest of the scripture passage 1 Timothy 2:13-15.
Last verse: “But she will be saved through motherhood, provided women persevere in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.“

That’s great for you, but I also don’t care. I clearly don’t agree with the Bible verse I’ve quoted. Teach away, lady.

You get to choose who goes to hell with you? You must be really high up in the church.

Luckily for everyone, I don’t get to choose who goes to heaven or hell. There’s a merciful and forgiving God that does that. I fall short on mercy and forgiveness.

Seriously? You can’t follow the very obvious fact that I’m mocking you by using direct quotes from your own book against you?

I'm not changing my opinion that the Pope should always work very hard to never do or say anything that involves politics. Why? Because he can't win if he does. Either one large group or another will be very angry. And, the enemies of the Catholic Church, and they are everywhere - even here - will always be ready to use whatever political statement the Pope may make against him.
Pope speaking politics will hurt the Church 100 times out of 100.
I think it's dangerous to say the Pope should never speak on politics. Politics and religion are woven together so tightly on some topics. Should the Pope not speak on abortion? Gay marriage? Death penalty? Genocide? Slavery? Those are all political topics. He isn't going to hold his tongue because someone might misuse his statement. He would tell you that what he's saying is more important than politics. Plus, the church's teaching is never going to fit neatly in one political party or the other.

I am a strict constructionist. You aren’t to give your own meaning to the words of the Bible. It’s why I believe rape victims should be forced to marry their assaulters, provided they have an appropriate amount of metal.
“ If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.”
Deuteronomy 22:28-29
quote:
if you want to look and be ignorant, be my guest
You wouldn’t know an infallible if it hit you in the face.

Why? I’m married. I shall do what I want when I want to my wife whenever I want as is my right.
“Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.”
Ephesians 5:22-24

I can safely assume you wouldn’t either
What can I say? I’m infallibly imperfect.
