You can't expect tourists, companies, etc, to come to that shithole, and need to Vax everyone just to be in New Orleans for a few days.....especially when traveling from a non required state, like ALL the rest.

I wanted to go to New Orleans this year, but decided on another State for this very reason.

I think we should wait two weeks after St Patrick’s, then two weeks after Easter, then two weeks after Jazz Fest, then two weeks after Cinco De Mayo, then two weeks after Memorial Day

So what changed to lift it?

When that psycho Avegno lifted the mask mandate, she said the vaccine mandate would remain in place until the 21st. If the numbers still looked good, she'd lift the vaccine mandate.

Why the days in between lifting masks and lifting vaccines? I can only guess its like a parent who's only comeback to the question "why?" can only answer "because I said so" because they don't really have a good answer.

Go back to complaining about strange black men walking through the neighborhood on NextDoor.

Why? Just don't! There is very very little positive that will happen, even with mandate lifted.
It's simply a shithole on every level.
Take your trip to Bahamas and read about French culture while there, lol. Win/win

The requirements were based off a “feeling” by Avegno. There are NO actual criteria ever associated with any of this.

If you go by LDH’s community threat level map (which goes off of the old CDC way of tracking risk by cases and not the new way based on hospitalizations), OP is one of the few areas of “substantial” risk remaining in the state. The CDC map with the new criteria lists basically the whole state as “low”.

Palm & Pine says, yeah, no thanks.

Hey y’all, as always, team well being comes first. We don't make changes to our Covid Safety Protocols without discussing with the whole team. So at this time we will still be requiring proof of vaccine, or a negative covid test to dine inside the restaurant. We appreciate understanding from our guests as we navigate these quick changes to city mandates!

I wonder why University View Academy, a Louisiana public online charter school, is just now issuing a vaccine mandate for all teachers when every other city and organization is dropping mandates.
