I thought the city didn't allow for reschedules? It's roll or miss for the year? Jefferson is more flexible, obviously due to smaller crowds and a more friendly route.

Tchoupitoulas street is only so long to have six parades lining up between Jefferson Avenue, onto Napoleon Avenue, and the float marshaling yard down past Wal Mart near Mardi Gras World.

I think last year was the first year they didn't have weather issues. It's funny that Nyx and Cleopatra (since the move upt) have had weather issues more times than not.

It was sloppy for Nyx last year, but the rain had stopped.

If it's Nyx Wednesday... it's raining. That's one of the most predictable parts of Mardi Gras.

Actually according to weather underground, tomorrow looks like some of the best weather in years for Nyx. After 6 am, only about a 20 percent chance of rain all day.

Thursday looks like all-day light rain, they will roll in that, without some marching groups if they decide to drop out.

If Thursday is a complete washout, they won't put any more parades on Fri or Sat.

My guess is Muses would roll Sunday, after Thoth, Babylon would roll Monday before Proteus, and Momus, I mean, Chaos, would probably not roll at all.

Gonna be wet. 60% chance right now for Sunday night.

Still pretty far out and it is only 0.03 rain total for the entire parade and most of that is in the back in. That's a drizzle.

As long as the weather is good for Endymion and MG day.

Pretty sure Bacchus would fight that.

Oh damn, this is good to know. I hope it's just a drizzle if anything. Crowd was thinned out last year because of the rain.

There’s a good 6hrs between the start of Thoth and Bacchus.

I could see muses rolling Friday with no bands or marching crews. Don't a lot of the Chaos members ride in D'eat and other parades?

Muses will be before Hermes on Friday

Nope. Hermes rolls first Friday, that is not negotiable.

This exact situation has happened several times int he last 10 years, and Muses rolls after D'Etat.

And Thoth is a huge parade with an extra long route. Muses wouldn't technically start until like 4-5

I'd be legally dead during the parade if we had to roll after this.

they are predicting less than an inch of rain...wtf people are freaking out about....the parades will roll on their scheduled days, with maybe the start times adjusted.

They will roll in the rain. And we will be cold and wet. Just like all the other years.
