Yeah a told you so isn't going to do you much good later on. Would you be able to move if you didn't like. You can have fun anywhere 2 years. I am voting New Orleans.

It sounds like you really want to come home by the way you are responding. Nothing wrong with that, and I think your heart is in NO.

Here's a vote for Houston. Infinitely better economy and opportunity especially if Tulane doesnt work out for you and if your gf doesnt like the local hospital options in New Orleans.

That's why we never left Nola. My kids can hop on their scooter and roll around the block to their grand parents any day of the week.
Momma needs to be happy

If the jobs are comparable, that answer is clearly NOLA. With that said, make sure you take advancement into account.

That's your decision that should be weighted on your situation. Love where you will be the happiest.

If the money is the same , Houston

If Nola is offering way more $$$&, Nola

I grew up in south Louisiana, I live in Houston now and I love it

I'll move back home one day...when I have a way upper 6 fig salary offer in LA

Well how about taking the job in New Orleans, but live in say Mandeville?
youre still you, likes to do diverse shite and stay social, mentioned taking in unique walks, etc etc.... but then you are going to mention moving to the north shore?? That's crazy talk and you would be better served just moving out to Katy where your ol'lady is from...

Seiously move to one of the many unique neighborhoods uptown or maybe marigny. Have a bottomless brunch place, a neighborhood bar, a bar that caters to Saints and LSU games, a local coffee spot, awesome meat and three corner store, walking distance to dog park basketball goals, easy access to a public trashy line to the blenda/dome/quarter....

And you can find a good amount of neighborhoods in the city right now that fit that criteria, seems like t quality of life you may have nedn suggesting.

I for sure am looking to immerse myself back into my hometown. I offered Mandeville looking ahead in case of kids, but that's a long way off so I like that idea of the uptown area. I'm 25 so I'm still very much in my youth

I hope she knows she is likely to take a substantial paycut going from Texas to Louisiana if she's in medical.

New Orleans, by and large, has become more and more like Vegas.

Great for a long weekend but the clock tickes and time to GTFO.
